Yann Bernardinelli

Yann has a scientific background in chemical engineering, biochemistry, and neuroscience before venturing into science communication. He founded "Les Mots de la science" in 2015, after 13 years in fundamental research and training in communication writing, aiming to humanize science and bring it closer to society.

He assists researchers and those with complex knowledge in making it understandable to a broader audience. His goal is to help shape a world where everyone can make informed decisions. Remaining connected to the scientific community for legitimacy, he continues to collaborate on research projects with university labs.

Beyond science, Yann is committed to feminism, sustainable development, cooperative entrepreneurship, and sports values. He is also a devoted father who enjoys gardening and cooking.

Samuel Lagier

Samuel Lagier, with a background in neuroscience, is a public speaking trainer (founder of SamSpeaksScience) and an improviser (founding member of the Renegade Saints). Since 2015, he has been training and assisting researchers in public speaking in Swiss universities and affiliated organizations. He was involved in TEDxLausanne as a curator, coach, and master of ceremonies for six years. Samuel is passionate about the intersection of science, art, and entertainment. He has integrated science with theater, cinema, and improvisational theater, receiving support from the Swiss National Science Foundation. Additionally, Samuel has been active in promoting scientific culture, participating in various workshops and conferences. His scientific career focused on sensory perception in healthy and schizophrenic brains across multiple research institutes and universities in the USA, France, and Switzerland.

Emilie Pralong

Emilie Pralong has developed a broad range of skills, holding a certificate in public relations and specializations in strategic writing and social media. She started her career in 2007 at the Brain Mind Institute of EPFL, later joining the National Research Pole Synapsy. For five years, she was closely involved with scientific and neuroscientific developments. Her experience in the vibrant scientific and technological community of the Lémanic Arc ignited her passion for promoting meaningful health and science projects. After seven years in a Lausanne public relations agency, she founded her own company to bridge science, health, and society.

Maé Biedermann

Maé Biedermann holds a Bachelor's degree in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Lausanne and a Master's in Journalism and Communication from the Academy of Journalism and Media, University of Neuchâtel. He focuses on social and political issues, especially mental health awareness. Maé created the podcast series "Toi aussi ?", featuring young people discussing their mental health, aiming to break the silence around mental health and highlight recovery from psychological disorders. His interest in podcasting has grown, using this platform to address various public health topics.

Jennifer Lepredour

Jennifer Lepredour, a profound altruist and advocate for scientific communication to foster social progress, has always aimed to highlight the stories of the overlooked in society. With a background in Political Science from the University of Geneva, she discovered science communication through audiovisual media, blending creation and information to produce clear and engaging knowledge. As a Mauritian immigrant with a keen social sciences perspective, she focuses on issues like mental health, sexual health, diverse populations, and the professional integration of marginalized groups in Switzerland.

Alexandre Pinault

Dr. Alexandre Pinault, a neuroscientist, is also a science and cultural mediator, audiovisual director, and entrepreneur. His passion for knowledge sharing and science popularization led him to create Big Bang Brain — Creative Media in 2015. In 2016, he co-founded Neuracademia, a collective of scientific experts and health professionals. He collaborates with experts in various fields to make science more accessible and currently works at the Media Engineering Institute, leading the creation of audiovisual and transmedia content for research projects.

Docteur en neurosciences, mais également médiateur scientifique et culturel, réalisateur audiovisuel et entrepreneur… Les casquettes d'Alexandre Pinault sont nombreuses et ses centres d'intérêts multiples. Pourtant, sa passion pour le partage des connaissances et la vulgarisation scientifique continue de primer. C'est ainsi qu'en 2015, Alexandre a créé Big Bang Brain — Creative Media. Et il ne s'arrête pas là : en 2016, il cocrée l'association Neuracademia composée d'un collectif d'experts scientifiques et de professionnels de la santé. Toujours dans l'optique de rendre la science plus accessible au grand public, il collabore avec de nombreux experts du domaine scientifique (NCCR robotics, NCCR Synapsy, SIB), des jeux vidéo (WitchLake), de la communication (TedX, VentureLab, Mediago) etc. Aujourd'hui, Alexandre travaille au sein du Media Engineering Institute (MEI) où il pilote la réalisation de contenus audiovisuels et transmédias pour différents projets de recherche. Magali Dubois

With a degree in literature from the University of Lausanne, this individual began their career in public relations at the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences in Bern. They then moved to the Press and Communications Service of the University of Neuchâtel and the Accident Prevention Bureau, gaining expertise in a bilingual French-German environment. Their specialties include strategic consulting, media relations, institutional publishing, and partnerships. Passionate about making information accessible to diverse audiences, they trained in easy-to-read language and clear writing. As a certified adult trainer, they now teach communication courses at several Swiss French-speaking universities, combining training and communication with enthusiasm.
